Beautiful Creatures

Beautiful Creatures was formed in South Africa in November 2004 by Alan Glass, Ed Jordan, and Paul Choritz, who identified a need for “Parent Friendly” children’s music. Utilising top session musicians, actors, and singers, Beautiful Creatures prides itself on being uniquely South African with a positive global message.

The educational songs focus on various African animals, including Imvubu the Happiest Hippo, Lucas the Lazy Lion, Zee Bee Dee Be Dee the Zebra, Lorenzo the Luckiest Lizard, Mafuta the Baby Elephant, and Wallace the Wondrous Warthog. There are also several others, such as Down Comes the Rain, explaining the benefits of rain; Night Song, about nocturnal insects; and the theme song Beautiful Creatures, sung by the late TK, plus a gentle African Lullaby.

Top South African guitarist Moritz Lotz contributed his talent, along with guest vocalists TK, Nkanyiso Bhemgu, Shelly Meskin, Gina Shmukler, Tina Sibiya, the late Max Mthambo, and Bongani Maseku, alongside many children, to create magic.
