Victor Khojane, known professionally as Dr. Victor, is an iconic South African singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, celebrated for his high-energy, infectious sound that masterfully fuses Reggae, Pop, R&B, and Soul.
Hailing from Kimberley, Khojane began his musical journey in his youth, eventually forming the successful session band Taxi in Johannesburg, which backed stars like Yvonne Chaka Chaka. His career achieved breakthrough status in 1991 when, under the name Dr. Victor & The Rasta Rebels, he released a smash-hit cover of Eddy Grant’s “Gimme Hope Jo’Anna.”
Dr. Victor’s music is synonymous with feel-good party anthems.
