Paxton has teamed up with Tresor on her latest single ‘Kiss The Haze’ taken from her debut album ‘This Is Me’. The release of the single is also accompanied by the music video, which was launched yesterday (Wednesday, March 13th) via Social Media and within the first-hour #KissTheHaze was trending at #2 on Twitter for SA.

Paxton has always wanted to work with Tresor, so collaborating on a single for her debut album ‘This Is Me’ was a dream come true. “I’m so so thankful to have met him and I really appreciate that he made time to shoot this amazing video as well! He’s one of the artists I highly respect in the music industry and I’m so privileged to have had the opportunity to collaborate with him.” She continues, saying “Working with him was such a challenge for me vocally which is initially what I wanted. I wanted to work with artists that have a unique sound and who are authentic in their own way, then having to kind of adjust to their sound and their way of singing. I think the two of us combined worked out perfectly, which is weird because we’re so different and I think that’s the beauty of this collaboration.”

Tresor presented Paxton with ‘Kiss The Haze’, a song he wrote about allowing yourself to enjoy the idea of falling in love and letting go to enjoy the possibilities of something happening. One day in the studio to record the song was all it took for this masterpiece to be created.

Tresor equally enjoyed working with Paxton and it shows in both the single and music video. “It was great working with Paxton and I am glad she recorded this song and invited me to feature on it. She is very talented and disciplined, and I wish her the very best with this record.”

Bruce Patterson from Pilot Films directed the music video and the concept for the shoot was capturing a young, fresh, and fun vibe, with print on print ideas and lots of bold colours. Filming was done in one day and Paxton was initially shy, but quickly relaxed and enjoyed shooting the video with her favourite pop star.

With the release of ‘Kiss, The Haze’ also comes Paxton’s first trip to the USA to perform a special showcase at MUSEXPO in Los Angeles on March 25th.

MUSEXPO has become one of the leading music conferences and is a global showcasing platform that allows up and coming artists exposure to labels, publishers, booking agents, and music managers from all around the world. Katy Perry, LMFAO, and Jessie J have all used the same platform to break into the international market.

“I’m so excited and privileged to have received this opportunity to perform in the USA and represent my country. It makes me so proud to see how far I’ve come, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds,” comments an elated Paxton.

While in Burbank for MUSEXPO, Paxton will be meeting with various record labels and management companies who have shown interest in her, as well as networking with big music industry names. Fans will get to see Paxton explore LA as she documents her trip on film to share back home. Among all the work meetings, Paxton will also enjoy some time off in Hollywood with sight-seeing trips to the likes of Warner Brothers and Universal Studios, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the notorious Viper Room on Sunset Boulevard, the world-famous ‘Whisky a Go-Go’, Venice Beach, Santa Monica pier, and of course the famous Hollywood sign and the Hollywood walk of fame.

The trip to the USA follows on from various other international invitations and opportunities Paxton has embraced. 2018 saw Paxton perform in Sweden as part of the World Children’s Prize Foundation, where she was awarded a global ambassadorship by the queen of Sweden. She has been invited back to Sweden this year to report on the work she has done as an ambassador. She also performed in Russia as part of The White Nights of St Petersburg festival, sharing a stage with the likes of Seal, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Kool & The Gang.

2018 ended with Paxton’s ‘Angifuni’ lyric video, taken from her debut album ‘This Is Me’, reaching over 1 MILLION views and currently sitting at over 1.2 Million views.
